Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Shipping wine at the peak of summer and the peak of winter is something we avoid doing here at Terra Blanca, as extreme temperature fluctuations can harm or spoil the wine. During the months of November – February and again in June – August we try not to ship out wines due to the extreme temperatures. We ship via UPS Ground and the wine sits in the back of a hot or cold UPS truck during transit. We watch temperatures around the USA and determine when it is to hot or to cold to ship. If it is, we keep the wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather allows us to ship out the wine again. You will be notified promptly if there are any delays to your shipping order.
*Please note, shipping is weather dependant. If if it is too hot or cold to ship over the winter and summer months, we will contact you with an update to the soonest possible date that we can assure that your wine will arrive in its intended condition. Thank you for your patience.
Where Can We Ship?
We currently have a license to ship to 35 different states. We have licenses to ship to all states except AL, AR, HI, KY, OK, LA, MA, MD, MS, NJ, RI, UT, VT, WY, and WV. If Terra Blanca is unable to ship directly to your state, please feel free to contact us, as we may be able to arrange for the wine to be shipped to a UPS store in a neighboring state that we do have a license for, to be picked up by the customer.
When Do We Ship?
We ship wine out via UPS Monday through Wednesday weather permitting. Should you require rushed shipping, please contact our shipping department at (509) 588-6082 ext. 108 or email@example.com.
Can I deliver to an international address?
We are not currently able to ship wine outside of the United States.
Do you ship to P.O., A.P.O or F.P.O box offices?
We cannot currently ship to P.O., A.P.O., or F.P.O. boxes.
What do you require to receive shipment?
UPS requires an adult over the age of 21 to sign for the package due to it containing alcohol. UPS will ID upon delivery and ask for your signature.
What if I’m not around to sign for the shipment?
If you are not available to sign for the package upon UPS’s first delivery attempt, they will try again the next two business days. After the third attempt they will return the package to Terra Blanca.
In order to avoid this, we will try to contact you when UPS misses an attempt. If you are unable to have someone sign for the package, we can redirect the package to another address or a local UPS store for you to pick it up at your convenience.
After placing an order, how long does it take to ship?
Weather dependent, we typically send out orders the next Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday after the order was placed. (i.e. If you place an order on a Wednesday, the order will go out the following Monday, but if you place the order on Tuesday, the order will go out the following day)
We do this to avoid having the wine sit in a UPS warehouse over a weekend where it is not temperature controlled.
How can I get delivery alerts and re-schedule my order delivery?
UPS My Choice lets you track your packages, provides delivery alerts, and lets you decide when and where your packages arrive.
What is an undeliverable package? What should I do?
An undeliverable package happens when no one is available to sign for the package, or when an address is incorrect. Undeliverable packages will be returned to our fulfillment center after attempts by UPS are complete. If you have concerns that your shipment is now marked as "undelivered," please contact us.
UPS Ground is Terra Blanca Winery & Estate Vineyard's carrier of choice. Ground shipping is provided by UPS at current market rates.
*Note – If the customer selects Air as his or her carrier, the customer pays all shipping charges, regardless of his or her wine club membership or purchase amount.
