Our 2006 Forte wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made in the tradition of wines that originated in the Douro Valley, Portugal; in other words, a Port-style wine.

On the palate, flavors of cherries and raspberries give way to darker flavors of plum, blackberries and cassis followed by a long, sumptuous finish of chocolate and black fruits. After making less than 30 bottles of Forte for several years, a close friend convinced me to make enough to share, starting with the 2005 vintage. Grapes for Forte enjoyed extended hang time on the vines concentrating the sugars and flavors resulting in an amazing after dinner treat. Terra Blanca’s 2006 Forte is the perfect accompaniment to a tray of bleu cheeses or bittersweet truffles.
